(Outer Eastern Melbourne)
Marginal. Labor 4.6%

Profile:

Narre Warren North is an electorate located in Melbourne's outer eastern suburbs. It includes the suburbs of Hallam, Narre Warren, Narre Warren North and parts of Berwick, Endeavour Hills and Harkaway.

Like its neighbour, Narre Warren South - Narre Warren North is a district containing a large population of Afghans, Indians and Sri Lankans and is generally skilled working class. Muslims are also well over-represented in the area (9.3%) compared to the state average.

The district was created in 2002 as a notional Liberal seat. However, Labor managed to overcome that margin to win the seat. It has been held by Labor ever since.
