Profile:

Keysborough is an electorate in Melbourne's south east, created in 2014 to largely replace the abolished district of Lyndhurst. It includes the suburbs of Springvale South, Noble Park, Keysborough, and Dingley Village.

Keysborough is a safe seat for the Labor Party. Its predecessor, Lyndhurst, was also a safe Labor seat which had never been held by the conservative parties.

The district fits a working class profile, with an under-representation of tertiary educated people compared to the state average. There are relatively large Chinese, Indian, Cambodian and Vietnamese populations living in the electorate with the most spoken foreign languages being Vietnamese and Khmer. The largest religious group being Catholic and there is also a large over-representation of Buddhists. The workforce comprises mostly of labourers, trades workers and administrative workers.
