The Webb Dock Rally, called by the Victorian Trades Hall for Friday, December 8, was an escalation of an ongoing dispute between Victorian International Container Terminal Ltd (VICT) and the Maritime Union of Australia (MUA) over attacks to working conditions. Numerous unions were represented in attendance at the rally, including the CFMEU, AMWU, MUA, HACSU and VAHPA, ETU, United Voice, and the United Firefighters Union (UFU).
